Tai Sui are important astral deities in Taoism who govern yearly fortunes and misfortunes. There are 60 Tai Sui Star Lords who rotate according to the sixty-year cycle of Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, each corresponding to specific zodiac years and annual fortunes. Our temple's Tai Sui Hall enshrines a complete set of 60 Tai Sui statues, each with its own common name, symbolizing the cycle and protection of the sixty-year calendar.

Each year, the Tai Sui deity governing that year is placed in the center of the hall to receive worship and prayers. However, the "Chief Tai Sui" permanently occupies the central position, commanding all Tai Sui Star Lords and overseeing yearly fortunes and human welfare. Devotees who come to pay respects to Tai Sui or resolve conflicts with their zodiac year can seek blessings from the Tai Sui Star Lords for safety, peace, and good fortune.
